Profile

Tawanchai P.K.Saenchai represents the modern apex of Thai striking power.

Born in Pattaya, he began fighting at just eight years old under the name Jatukam Petchrungruang, before relocating to Bangkok and debuting at Lumpinee Stadium at fourteen — a marker of early elite potential. His move to P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym in 2015 accelerated his rise, placing him within one of Thailand’s most structured and technically demanding camps.

By 2018, Tawanchai had established himself as a national force, climbing weight classes rapidly and defeating elite opposition — most notably his trilogy sweep over Kulabdam Sor.Jor.Piekuthai, including a high-profile side bet victory that cemented his reputation.

Unlike volume-based technicians, Tawanchai’s dominance has been built on damage. His left kick, timing, and composure under pressure distinguish him even among modern champions.

Fighting Style

Tawanchai is a modern Muay Femur with destructive intent.

Key characteristics:

  • Elite left round kick (body and arms)

  • Precise counter timing

  • Calm posture under pressure

  • Ability to finish via kicks rather than accumulation

  • Strong ring IQ across five-round fights

He controls distance rather than chasing exchanges. When opponents overcommit, he punishes decisively — often with fight-altering kicks.

Stadium Career & Thai Titles

Before ONE Championship, Tawanchai was already elite by Thai standards.

Thailand Titles

  • Thailand Featherweight (126 lbs) Champion — 2017

Lumpinee Stadium

  • Lumpinee Stadium Fighter of the Year — 2018

These accolades placed him firmly at the top of his generation before international exposure.

ONE Championship Era

Tawanchai signed with ONE Championship in 2020 and quickly transitioned from contender to divisional cornerstone.

ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion

  • Won title vs. Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy — September 29, 2022

  • Four successful title defenses, including victories over:

    • Jamal Yusupov

    • Jo Nattawut (twice)

    • Superbon Singha Mawynn

His second-round TKO of Superbon at ONE 170 remains one of the most decisive championship performances in the division’s history.

While he has experienced setbacks under kickboxing rules, his Muay Thai championship reign remains intact and authoritative.
